Spoiler Alert...

Ok. I was a fan of the original mini-Series done in the 80's, I actually own it on DVD. I watched the first episode of the new series on Tuesday night and I have to say I was un-impressed. First of all who in this day and age does a one hour season premier, unless of course it's a comedy. New shows like Battlestar Galactica, Lost or 24 always have a two hour premier, it's nesssissary in order to set up the story properly. The only way to do a one hour season openner would be to rush the story along at an unresonable pace, and thats exactly what they did. The story moves a breakneck speed.... In one short hour ...The Alien ship lands, They make contact, Tour the Mother Ship, Establish the Aliens as villians, Set up a resistance, Have their first fight, AND we find out that the Aliens are Lizards. WOW!!!...To do this right it should have taken 3 to 4 espisodes...They messes up...in my Opinion.
